1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled when you use the Massage Nexus website at www.massagenexus.com, including its directory, public content, accounts, contributions and related support. It applies to visitors, members, contributors, and people represented in directory records.
In this policy, “Massage Nexus,” “we” and “our” refer to the Massage Nexus service and its operator responsible for the information handled through that service. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to admin@massagenexus.com or through our contact form.
An establishment or practitioner you contact may handle your information independently. Their own privacy practices apply to information you give them outside Massage Nexus. This policy does not make Massage Nexus responsible for another provider's independent records or treatment decisions.
2. Information we collect
The information involved depends on the features you use. Browsing public pages does not require registration. We receive information from you, other contributors or provider representatives, public directory sources, and the technical operation of the service.
Where eligible provider booking is enabled, we process the provider, service, requested date and time, relevant participants, permitted service preferences, delivery details, notes and request/status history needed to handle your request. Necessary request details are available to the authorized provider or staff handling it and to authorized administration or support. A request is not a confirmed appointment. Your private personal visit record is separate and is not submitted to a provider merely because you save it.
- Account and eligibility information: username, email address, date of birth, verification and account status, password hash, and records of policy acknowledgment or acceptance. A date of birth is used to check adult eligibility; it is not a public profile field.
- Profile and preferences: display name, biography, avatar or cover image, language, time zone, region, interface and accessibility choices, notification and privacy settings, and saved or followed items.
- Contributions and activity: articles, reviews, ratings, comments, corrections, uploaded media, captions, sources, reactions, reports, and editorial or moderation history. We also keep contribution, reward and progression records associated with participation.
- Directory and professional information: establishment or practitioner identity, public business contact information, location, services, affiliations, and information supplied for a claim, correction or verification. Supporting evidence is handled separately from the information displayed publicly.
- Private visit records: when you use personal visit-history features, the provider, date, services, amounts, preferences, notes and feedback you enter. A private visit record is distinct from a public review; information you choose to publish in a review becomes public.
- Communications: your name or supplied identifier, email address, topic, subject and message when you contact us, together with submission time, account context where available, IP address and browser information. Service emails and delivery or error records may also be retained.
- Technical and security information: IP address, browser and device information, session or remembered-device identifiers, login and activity times, verification or recovery events, access and error logs, and information needed to detect misuse.
- Location and permitted analytics information: an area you select, saved places you supply, or coordinates you choose to share for location-based search; and, when optional analytics is allowed, page and interaction information described below.
Some account information is required to register or secure your membership. Other fields and features are optional. If required information is missing, we may be unable to provide the requested feature. Do not put passwords, payment-card details, medical records or another person's confidential information in a public contribution or an ordinary support message.
The website does not currently provide a health-intake collection service or platform payment processing. This policy does not authorize collecting health information for treatment or sharing it with a practitioner. Such collection requires its own appropriate notice, purpose and safeguards.
3. Why we use information
We use information to provide the features you request; create, verify and secure accounts; display directory records and approved content; keep private records and preferences; administer contributions, rewards and moderation; answer questions; correct inaccurate information; and maintain the service.
For ordinary personal information, the relevant grounds include providing a requested service or fulfilling a contract, complying with a legal obligation, and legitimate interests in operating a reliable directory, preventing abuse, maintaining security and resolving disputes, subject to your rights. Optional analytics and marketing choices are handled on a consent basis where required. Consent is not interchangeable with account registration or acknowledgment of this policy.
Age information and other sensitive personal information require an additional lawful condition under applicable law. They must not be treated as covered by an ordinary legitimate-interest justification alone. We use date-of-birth information for adult eligibility and related corrections, not public display or advertising.
We use contact information for verification, recovery, security and other necessary service messages. Marketing or newsletter choices are separate from these messages. You can decline optional marketing without thereby declining essential account or security communications.
4. Public and private information
Public information can include your username, chosen public profile details, public media, provider affiliations, published contributions, and participation indicators displayed with them. Published material may be indexed by search engines or copied by others. Removing it from Massage Nexus does not guarantee removal of third-party copies.
Email addresses used for accounts, dates of birth, passwords and recovery information, session records, private preferences and visit history, security logs, and unpublished verification evidence are not ordinary public profile fields. A business contact submitted for public directory display is different from a private account contact.
Use available visibility controls and check what a submission will display before publishing. Sharing information about another person requires an appropriate basis and respect for that person's privacy. Reports and corrections may be reviewed by authorized operators without making their underlying private evidence public.
5. Cookies, browser storage and analytics
We use cookies and similar browser storage for login sessions, security, remembered devices, preference settings and your cookie choice. Blocking all storage may prevent sign-in or other requested features from working. The cookie recording your analytics choice normally lasts 180 days unless you clear it sooner.
Optional analytics starts on eligible pages only after you allow analytics through the cookie banner. Google Analytics helps us understand page use and performance. Microsoft Clarity captures browsing interactions, such as clicks, scrolling and pointer movement, and provides heatmaps and session replay to help identify usability problems. These services can receive browser identifiers, page and device information, network information and interaction data.
Our own consented engagement records may include a pseudonymous viewer or session identifier, broad device or country information, interaction type and reading duration. When you are signed in, these records may be linked to your account. They are not necessarily anonymous just because a technical identifier is hashed. We can also maintain aggregate page-view counts without a consented individual engagement record.
The external analytics scripts are excluded from workspace, login, registration, password, email-verification and support routes. Our current analytics configuration denies advertising storage and advertising-personalization signals. We do not currently operate an AdSense advertising integration on this website.
You may reject optional analytics when the banner is presented. To reset a saved choice, clear this website's cookies and site data in your browser, close or reload its pages, and choose again when the banner returns. Clearing site data may sign you out and remove locally saved preferences. Rejecting analytics prevents optional tracking from starting on the newly loaded page; it does not retroactively delete data already collected.
You can also use browser controls and Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. Read how Google uses partner-site information and the Microsoft Privacy Statement for their processing details. Browser privacy settings do not replace every service-specific choice.
6. Location, maps and external links
You may search by a manually selected area. If you choose Near Me and allow the browser's location request, coordinates are sent with that search to find nearby establishments. This is a one-time request, not continuous background location monitoring. Coordinates in a search address may also remain in browser history or technical request records. You can revoke location permission in your browser and use a manual area instead.
Maps may load from Google Maps or OpenStreetMap. Loading an external map sends requests directly to its provider, which may receive your IP address, browser information and the map area requested. See Google's Privacy Policy and the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy.
Following an external contact, social-media or provider link takes you to another service. Information you send there is governed by that recipient's practices. We do not send your private visit history to a provider merely because you open its directory profile.
7. Article assistance and automated features
Article authoring and editorial workflows can use external AI assistance for metadata suggestions and contribution assessment. The submitted article title, text and relevant content context may be sent to Yolo-Auto or OpenRouter, or to a selected supported Google AI service. OpenRouter may route a request to a model provider. Inputs, results and usage or error information can form part of editorial and technical records.
Do not include confidential information in text submitted to these tools. External providers handle the information they receive under their applicable service terms and privacy practices. The availability of an AI tool does not authorize submitting private health, credential or verification information to it.
Automated calculations also support eligibility checks, activity indicators, rankings and participation awards. Suggestions and scores can be incorrect. Contact us to question an error or a decision affecting your information. These features do not provide medical diagnosis or replace a practitioner's judgment.
8. Who receives information
Information may be available to the following recipients where needed for the purposes in this policy:
- Other visitors, for information you or an authorized contributor publish.
- Authorized operators or reviewers handling administration, support, security, verification and moderation.
- Microsoft Azure services used for hosting, data and media storage, and service email; and the operator's email services used to receive and respond to messages.
- Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, and article-assistance providers when the corresponding feature is used under the conditions explained above.
- A provider or other recipient you intentionally contact or choose to share information with.
- Regulators, courts, law-enforcement authorities or advisers where disclosure is required by law or otherwise necessary and lawful for security, a dispute or a legal claim.
We do not sell personal information to advertisers. A public listing or a consent to analytics is not permission to disclose your private account information for unrelated advertising.
Platform advertisements or sponsored placements do not by themselves authorize sharing private account or booking information with an advertiser. If a new advertising vendor, tracking purpose or sensitive-intake feature involves additional processing, we must provide the applicable information and obtain any required separate choice before that processing begins. General references to future features are not blanket consent.
Some providers process information outside the Philippines. The use of an external processor does not remove the operator's responsibility under applicable data-protection law. Requests about relevant recipients and international processing can be made through the privacy contact below.
9. How long information is kept
Retention depends on the information's purpose and applicable obligations, rather than one period for all records:
- Account, preferences and private records: kept to maintain the account and the features you use. Logging out or ceasing to visit does not automatically delete them. You can request account closure or removal of information through the privacy contact.
- Public content and directory records: kept while the publication or listing remains relevant, subject to correction, moderation and removal. Editorial evidence may need to be preserved separately after a public change.
- Support and verification evidence: kept for handling the request or claim, follow-up, review and justified dispute or fraud-prevention needs. Completed and rejected cases should not be treated as requiring the same retention as unresolved cases.
- Security, policy and audit records: kept where needed to investigate misuse, demonstrate the version presented or action recorded, resolve a dispute, or satisfy a legal obligation.
- Browser storage and analytics: kept according to the purpose, expiry and applicable provider settings. Our analytics-choice cookie normally expires after 180 days; clearing cookies is separate from deleting server-side analytics or account records.
- Backups and protected evidence: may outlast removal from an active screen. Removal is subject to applicable backup handling and any lawful preservation requirement.
Where information is no longer needed and no lawful retention reason remains, it should be deleted, anonymized or otherwise removed from identifiable use. A removal request is not a promise to erase every record immediately: legal claims, security evidence, other people's rights and applicable obligations may justify keeping limited information. We will explain a relevant limitation when responding to your request.
10. Security
We use measures intended to protect information, including password hashing, authentication and access checks, restricted credentials, input validation and secure connections on the public website. No internet service can guarantee complete protection against every loss or unauthorized disclosure.
Protect your account credentials and shared devices. Do not send us your password, recovery codes or access tokens. Report suspected account compromise or a privacy concern using the contact below. A report does not need to contain additional sensitive information unless it is necessary to investigate the issue.
11. Adults and sensitive information
Massage Nexus membership is for people aged 18 or older. Registration requires date-of-birth information to check this boundary; an age-ineligible registration is rejected. Ordinary public content can be viewed without registering. A directory listing for a service suitable for children does not authorize a child to create a membership.
If a birth date is incorrect or you believe an account involves someone under 18, contact us for review. Do not submit health information through an ordinary public profile, review or general contact form. Acknowledging this policy is not consent to health-intake processing, treatment or optional advertising.
12. Your rights and requests
Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may request information about processing, access to your personal information, correction, objection, erasure or blocking, withdrawal of consent, or a portable copy. Philippine law also provides complaint and compensation rights. These rights can have conditions and exceptions.
Email admin@massagenexus.com with “Privacy request” in the subject, or use our contact form. Describe the request and the account or record concerned. Do not attach an identity document or medical record unless we explain why it is necessary and how to provide it appropriately.
We may ask for reasonable verification of your identity or a representative's authority before disclosing or changing private information. We will review the request, communicate any necessary clarification or limitation, and respond in accordance with applicable requirements. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that was lawful before withdrawal; it may prevent an optional feature from continuing.
You can raise an unresolved concern with the Philippine National Privacy Commission through its official complaint channels, or with another competent authority where applicable. Contacting us first does not remove your right to complain to an authority.
13. Policy changes
The version and effective date displayed with this policy identify the applicable publication. Changes to our purposes, recipients, features or practices may require a new version and an appropriate notice or separate choice. We will not treat continued browsing or logging in as a substitute for specific consent where it is required.
Where a policy acknowledgment is required, the record relates to the particular published version presented to you. Acknowledgment confirms receipt or understanding; it does not grant every optional consent. Ask the privacy contact if you need information about the policy version recorded for your account.
